Purdue UXD x Johns Hopkin's APL

An Exploratory Research UXD project exploring the future integration of autonomous vehicles (AVs) on college campuses under the sponsorship of Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), in affiliation with Purdue University. This project examines how AVs will interact with conventional vehicles and vulnerable road users, aiming to shape future transportation design. The final deliverables include an Ecosystem Map visualizing complex road user interactions, a low-to-mid-fidelity prototype of an ideal AV for 2040, a Design Fiction Vignette depicting futuristic AV scenarios, and a Comprehensive Solutions roadmap outlining phased implementation methods.
